the bed was so hard I thought I was sleeping on concrete, and the cleaning was rather lackluster—think used cotton buds under the bed. As a valued guest, I expected some sort of welcome gift to brighten my stay, yet there was none. I almost left a great review, but just couldn’t, due to this shambles.

The property is well maintained and shows well.

During my stay, the room had a strong smell of cat urine, which was quite off-putting. I noticed the carpets were badly stained and needed urgent cleaning. the area around the door was dirty, and it felt like we were staying in a neglected space rather than a well-kept motel.

Just a commendable fit for a brief weekend stay in Whangarei with very good value for money. The overall cleanliness was nice, and it smelled fresh on arrival. Keep in mind the outside areas could use some attention.

Had a blast with my friends! The rooms were comfy, and we really appreciated the mini kitchen setup that came in handy for snacks. The location was peaceful, just a short drive to beautiful parks like Whangarei Quarry Gardens and the stunning native bush trails. Definitely recommend this place for a group getaway.

One downside was a musty smell in the room that was a bit unpleasant. It didn’t ruin our stay but could be improved.
